| All of our pups are registered with America’s Pet Registry Inc. This registry requires a 3 generation pedigree to receive a registration certificate just as does AKC. We have chosen to register with APRI as they have a code of ethics that fits the purpose of Elgo Acres. We raise our pups to be outstanding pets but not guaranteed for show or breeding. At the age our pups travel to their new homes it is impossible to judge their fitness for show or breeding. It can take up to 6 months and a very trained eye to see that potential. Many of our pups have gone on to the show ring and done well and that is just the “icing on the cake”. We invite you to visit the APRI website at www.aprpets.org Pay particular attention to the page entitled “Code of Ethics”. This is what sets this group apart. They are there to help the new owner and breeder alike. They have a code of ethics to follow regarding care of your new pet and do their best to make sure that new owners do indeed follow the recommended veterinary practices and local regulations to insure a long and happy life with their new family member. We hope you continue with APRI by registering your new pup with them. But more importantly we hope you follow their guidelines in their code of ethics as we feel this will give you and your new pet the best that life has to offer. |
